Shortly after my motor vehicle accident a neighbour and friend of mine was found dead in her apartment. She was younger than me. She had way more friends than me. I should have died and she should have lived but I lived and she died. It doesn’t make sense. It’s unfair that I could survive a horrific crash and young people, seemingly healthy can just go to sleep one night and never wake up. The death of my friend and my mom, and the events surrounding their deaths were the same. So when my friend died this hit me really hard. It brought back the memory of my mothers death. We never know when our last day will be so we can squander away this life or we can accept each day as a gift. I know my mom would want me to cherish each day and to live as full life as possible.
Helen Keller
Helen Keller, born in 1880 and died 1968, was a remarkable American woman who defied the odds of a life-altering disability to become a renowned author, speaker, and advocate for the blind and deaf. She remains as an iconic symbol of hope and empowerment, proving that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

“True happiness is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose”
~ Helen Keller
Certainly Helen Keller had great adversity to face. She was both deaf and blind but she calls us to find our purpose. How do we know our purpose? What fills you with passion, joy, and happiness? I bet you anything you will find your purpose there.
Tony Robins
Tony Robins is a renowned American motivational speaker, life coach, and self-help author. He rose from a tumultuous childhood to become one of the most influential figures in personal development. I remember his late night advertisements; paid commercials that aired on TV in the middle of the night when most people were sleeping. I laughed at this guy who had his “followers” walking over hot coals with their bear feet. I was starting to feel like he was a cult leader. Years later he is wealthy and thriving. Maybe he was onto something.
“Your purpose in life is to live in alignment with your values and beliefs”
~ Tony Robins

We don’t have to sell our soul to be successful. We just have to know who our people are and sometimes you gotta get up and just do it but do it with such determination like you are walking over hot coals with your bear feet.
The only person who can get you to a life that is filled with purpose and meaning, is you.
